Privacy policy
How we handle your information and the choices you have. Updated 29 October 2026.
Who we are and how to contact us
Profable operates profable.com and is responsible for the personal information collected through this website. This policy covers website visitors and people who contact us about our services.
For privacy questions or requests, email info@profable.com. Please include enough information to help us identify your enquiry, but do not send passwords, payment details or identity documents unless we specifically request them through an appropriate channel.
Information you provide
When you contact us, we receive your contact details and the information you choose to share, such as your name, business, website, project requirements, budget and timing. We use this to respond, understand your needs, prepare proposals and manage any work you commission.
Providing this information is voluntary. We need a way to contact you and enough detail to answer your request. Clicking an email link opens your email application; it does not submit information to us until you send your message.
Information from website visits
Our hosting and security provider, Cloudflare, processes technical information such as IP addresses, browser information and requested URLs to deliver the website, prevent abuse and investigate technical problems. Read Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
If you accept analytics, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand visits and interactions, including pages viewed, referral sources and device or browser information. Google processes this data to provide usage reports. Our analytics integration does not load before acceptance and disables Google Signals and advertising personalisation. Read Google’s privacy policy.
Why we process information
- Enquiries and services: to take steps you request before entering a contract and to deliver contracted services. For general business correspondence, we rely on our legitimate interest in responding and managing business relationships.
- Security and operation: our legitimate interest in keeping the website available, secure and working properly.
- Optional analytics: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- Required records: to meet applicable legal obligations, including accounting requirements where a client relationship follows.
Cookies and your choices
You can accept or decline analytics without affecting access to the website. Use Cookie settings in the footer to change your choice. Withdrawing consent stops future analytics collection on this site and removes its Google Analytics cookies; it does not undo processing that took place before withdrawal.
- Analytics preference:
profable-analytics-consent-v1is stored in your browser’s local storage for 180 days to remember your choice. It is not an analytics cookie. - Google Analytics: after acceptance, cookies such as
_gaand_ga_*distinguish visitors and sessions. Google’s default lifetime is up to two years and may refresh with activity; browser settings may shorten it.
You can also clear cookies and local storage through your browser. Clearing your saved preference means we will ask again. Declining analytics does not prevent the technical processing needed to deliver and secure the website.
Who receives information
We use service providers to host and secure the website, handle email and support our work. Google receives analytics information only when you consent. Information may also be disclosed where necessary to comply with the law or protect legal rights. We do not sell personal information.
Providers may process information outside your country, including outside the European Economic Area. Applicable data-protection rules require appropriate protection for these transfers, such as an adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses. Provider privacy notices explain their international processing; contact us for information about safeguards relevant to your data.
How long information is kept
We keep enquiry correspondence for as long as needed to answer your request, manage ongoing discussions and resolve related issues. If you become a client, relevant records are retained for the relationship and any applicable accounting or legal requirements. The type of record, purpose, legal requirements and any unresolved dispute determine the retention period.
Analytics cookies and the stored consent preference have the lifetimes described above. These are separate from the retention of reports and event data in Google Analytics. Technical logs and analytics records are subject to the relevant service settings and operational needs. You can ask us about the retention applicable to your information.
Your rights
Depending on the law that applies, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or a portable copy of your personal data. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests and withdraw consent without affecting its previous lawful use. Some rights have exceptions, including where records must be retained by law.
Send requests to info@profable.com. We may need proportionate information to verify your identity. Where the GDPR applies, we normally respond within one month and will explain any permitted extension.
You may complain to your local data-protection authority, including in the country where you live or work. The European Data Protection Board’s authority directory lists EEA supervisory authorities.
Other websites and changes to this policy
Links to LinkedIn, client websites and other external services take you to sites with their own privacy practices. This policy does not cover their processing.
We update this policy when the website or our processing changes. The date above shows the latest update. Material changes affecting consent will be reflected in the choices we present to you.
